The Artisans
In Luxor, Egypt, generations of artisans have preserved the ancient art of stone carving, a craft passed down from the age of the pharaohs. Working with alabaster, granite, and basalt, they carry on traditions of careful shaping and polishing, bringing Egypt’s history to life through carvings of gods and pharaohs.
One sculptor, speaking to the founder, shared, "When we do the job right, that is when we are proudest. This isn’t just a job; it’s a legacy, a connection to our ancestors." For these artisans, each piece they create is a way to honour their roots and keep the art of their ancestors alive.
